We edited the missing words in our message and found as many ways as we could to make 14. After sharing a cute book, "My Dad's the Coolest," we began the writing portion of our Father's Day surprises! We had 2 sessions of math centers today, and learned a new braking technique during our Alien Inline phys ed time. In the afternoon the students enjoyed colouring vocabulary activities in French. We finished our day with a superstorm to prepare for our very exciting field trip tomorrow!
Urban Community Tour - Wednesday!
Our big field trip is this week already! Students will need plenty of water, easy-to-eat snacks, and all necessary utensils. While the current forecast for tomorrow is not 100% ideal (light rain), it's not terrible either, and we'll remain optimistic that it very well may change! Please prepare your child for the weather that day, be it with a light rain jacket and layers, or hats and sunscreen. We will provide red Prince of Wales t-shirts to wear over our clothing so that the whole group is nice and visible! Comfortable walking shoes are essential as we will be covering a lot of ground! Thank you for your help!
Alien Inline
HELMETS & HYGIENE
Alien In-Line provides certified helmets, but for best hygiene and comfort we suggest that each participant bring in his or her own certified helmet. Don’t forget to label your helmet.
Please remember to bring socks! :)
*Our class will be having Alien Inline on Tuesday and Thursday this week as well.*
Library Book Return
It's already that time of year again! Please return any outstanding library books so that Mrs. Cornford can take inventory as the school year wraps up. The first class with all of their books returned will win a prize!
Sight Words
We are focusing on words that contain /ck/
quick back snack knock rock
Mail Pockets
- No new mail today. Please return your bright yellow field trip form by tomorrow, and let me know if your child's did not make it home (there were none left behind at school).
