After a full school finale rehearsal, we edited the missing 'or' and 'ar' words in our message and continued literacy centers and guided reading. We learned our new poem, a fun song called "The Bossy R Pirate," and did a self-assessment about our character, personal development, and citizenship in learning. We got strong and healthy in our Ninja Fitness challenge during phys ed, and played "One Less" bump in math. In the afternoon the students had French, then we read some more about how our ears hear sound waves. The rest of the afternoon was PoWer Hour!
Sight Words (We are working with these in our weekly poem)
We are focusing on "bossy r" and how it turns 'a' and 'o' into pirate sounds!

Concert Attire
We are getting excited for the upcoming school concert performances! The students are working very hard and sounding great! Students are asked to attend their performances wearing a solid-coloured (no prints or logos) yellow, orange, red, or green t-shirt, and dark pants. If you do not have a solid coloured t-shirt, you could always try turning one with a small graphic inside out and that should do the trick. Thank you for helping them to prepare!
