This morning we edited our message for missing /oo/ words. Since my mom (who is a music teacher at another school) dropped by for a visit, we practiced our school concert songs with her. Afterward we had literacy centers and guided reading. After recess we were inspired by one of our classmates to contribute positive messages for the "Take What You Need" bulletin board (worth checking out!) by the office, and wrote our own. They are lovely! In phys ed we learned some mat gymnastic skills and arm balances, then learned a very fun new math game, "Walk the Plank," to practice our 'one more' and 'one less' facts. In the afternoon the students had French, then we searched for /oo/ words in our new poem, "The Man in the Moon." The rest of the day was PoWer Hour!
Friendly reminder that our library exchange is tomorrow! :)
