Already the last day of November!? Wow! After editing our morning message for short vowels and word wall words, we had the Who Do You Tell program, talking about how you never have to keep a secret if it makes you feel scared, sad, or unsafe. After recess we had some math time. We learned last week how to "translate" patterns into different modes, and we enjoyed building repeating patterns then going around to translate a classmate's pattern into a different material. The students had drumming (yay!), then phys ed before lunch. In the afternoon we did some word work. We visited Sound City and fed our word wall monster words with the "ch" chunk in it. We learned 2 new games for our literacy centers tomorrow. One helps us practice adding labels or captions to drawings, and the other helps us get familiar with our word wall words, sorting them by attributes into groups. In science we learned about tints and shades. Tints are any colour mixed with white, and shades are any colour mixed with black. We're excited to meet a real life expert who works with colour tomorrow -- an interior designer is coming to talk to us!

Daily Challenge
We learned about tints and shades. Tints are any colour mixed with white, and shades are any colour mixed with black. We're excited to create our own soon! Can you think of something that looks like it is a tinted color? What about something that looks like it is a shaded color?
