This morning we edited the very wacky /sh/ words in our morning message and closely estimated our coldest temperature of the school year so far! After hunting for "rhyme time" pairs and punctuation in our poem, we exchanged our library books. After recess we had literacy centers and guided reading, and we played Race to 100 in small teams in math. In the afternoon the students learned the musical version of Dr. Seuss' "My Many Coloured Days" with Mrs. Dennill, then we spent most of our afternoon applying the science of tints and shades in an art project. Thank you so much to our two patient and helpful volunteers! We are excited to add finishing touches tomorrow. We finished our day viewing and discussing some clips of UNICEF cartoons illustrating universal rights of children, and then of course, Wacky Wednesday jokes.

Daily Challenge
We are thinking a lot about /sh/ this week! What words can you find or think of that have /sh/ at the beginning of the word? At the middle? At the end?
