This morning we edited the wacky /ee/ and /ea/ words in our message, then did literacy centers and guided reading. Afterward we exchanged our library books. After recess we took another look at our challenging Food Bank boxes math problem, and shared some strategies and tools. With a fun phys ed break in between, we came back to complete the problem, and some of us even moved on to the 'math ninja' extension! In the afternoon the students learned a colour spelling song in music, then we began a ROY G BIV pattern art project with our grade 3/4 buddies. We finished our day with science, hunting around the school to document items that are transparent, translucent, and opaque in our visual journals.
