After editing our message for the missing /ee/ and /ea/ words, we hunted for word wall words and signed the colours in this week's poem (The Cat in the Hat's Rainbow Song -- it's quite catchy!). After literacy centers and guided reading, we did author's chair feedback and shared a great book, 'The Boy Who Cried Fabulous,' to help inspire our details and juicy words in writing. After a fun game of Lifeguard in phys ed to burn off some steam, we began a math problem about food bank donations that involves a repeating pattern. In the afternoon the students learned about Iris in French -- we will be going on the computers to make our first Iris videos both during French and in class this week. We learned about transparent, opaque, and translucent in science before finishing the day with PoWer Hour.

Daily Challenge
In science we learned some important words related to light and colour. Transparent means see-through (light passes through it). Opaque means not see-through (light is absorbed or reflected by it). Translucent means it is a little bit see-through, but not completely. Can you find at least one transparent thing, one opaque thing, and one translucent thing in your home?
