After editing missing long e chunks (single /e/ as well as /ee/ and /ea/) from our morning message, we read our new EE and EA poem and were detectives for word wall words. After literacy centers and guided reading, we learned a new Guess My Number math game that familiarizes us with a hundreds chart and practices "greater than" and "less than." After Clean Up the Nest in phys ed, we enjoyed some buddy reading time. In the afternoon the students loved instrument-themed plays on "There Was an Old Lady" in music. We shared and discussed, "The Berenstain Bears Think of Those in Need," then had the PoWer Hour showcase and last session.
Friendly reminder -- tomorrow is Walking Wednesday and our Library Exchange!

Daily Challenge
We shared and talked about "The Berenstain Bears Think of Those in Need." We are excited to volunteer our time to help meet the need for food in our community tomorrow. There are many people in Calgary who are in need...what other ideas do you have to help? What would you like to do as grade ones as a helping project?
