What a beautiful day for a winter walk! This morning we edited the very wacky words in our message for 'sneaky, sly y' at the end, and traded the little baby ones in our hundreds chart for another group of ten -- can you believe it has been 80 days of school! We hunted for rhyming pairs in our poem, and visited new estimation stations in math. We practiced using our tuck, pike, and straddle skills on the gymnastics equipment, then worked on our Winter Walk predictions before lunch. In the afternoon our class brought Mrs. Dennill to happy tears with their beautiful singing! We spent the rest of the day enjoying this fabulous sunny weather on the ridge, observing with our senses and working as a grade one team to create a gigantic snow fort!!! Thank you so much to our volunteers for joining us!

Gymnastics Attire
We are very excited to enjoy gymnastics for the next week! Please help your child prepare for gymnastics each day with comfy, easy-to-move-in clothing, and for safety, no long or dangly jewelry. Students remove their shoes during gymnastics -- barefoot is recommended but they can choose to keep their socks on (especially if they have an infection or warts on their feet). If students have longer hair, please have hair tied back (or send an elastic). Thanks for your help!
