Reminders**
- We are doing Yearbook signing on Friday, June 22, 2018 after the Sports Day activities.
This is a chance for students to move about and get their classmates, school friends, and teachers to sign their yearbook. If you did not purchase a yearbook with the fees at the beginning of the year, there is a limited amount of yearbooks for purchase. Each yearbook is $18.00 and must be purchased with a cheque or cash (exact amount, no change will be given) in the office.
First come, first served with payment.
Each student that has not purchased a yearbook will be given a specially designed autograph page that can be signed by classmates. Please check with your child’s teacher as they will have a list of those who have purchased yearbooks.
- Next Tuesday (June 26) we will be doing a desk clean up and sending home all of our school books from the year. If you have any plastic bags at home please send them to school with your child to help us send home our hard work.
- It is not uncommon for kids to go threw a spring growth spurt. I have observed that several of the friends in our room have finished their afternoon snack at lunch time and consequently not had anything to eat in the afternoon. Please check in with your child to make sure they have enough food to feed their growing day for the day.
- Library books are now due back. Please ensure that all library books have been returned or paid for. I have contacted families who have outstanding books.
- Now that the weather is nicer outside, please send your child ready to spend some time outdoors. This could include: sunscreen, hats or sunglasses.
Words of the Week
Each week we will focus on a set of high frequency words that we are using in our poems and morning message. Feel free to practice these and look for them in your own books! For the remainder of the year we will be reviewing all sight words and sound chunks we have explored already.
