This morning we thought about 'stars and wishes' to help set goals for ourselves, and wrote about them in our journals. In math we began creating our own Doubles Bump game boards with pictures that help us visualize our doubles facts. We had a grade one superstorm to begin learning some songs that tell the story of our building project for our upcoming celebration of learning. Then, we took it to the gym to learn some fun dance and movement pieces! In the afternoon the students had cahier time in French, then had literacy "pickle" time to read a favorite book or play a sight word game. We finished our day with much anticipated Minecraft time to build a 3-D virtual model of our community designs!

- My apologies -- I did not hand out home reading that was returned to the bin today as we were on the computers right until the bell!

Please and Thank You / Volunteer Opportunities
- We will not be doing regularly scheduled literacy centers this week, but are excited to work on the next step of our community building project! We would very much appreciate support during our MinecraftEdu computer time 2:00 - 3:00 Tuesday and 9:00 - 10:00 Thursday.
- Morning reading volunteers are always gratefully welcomed from 8:30 - 9:00, to read one-on-one with students and support their growth.
Celebration of Learning: Thursday, May 5
The grade ones will be excited to share their community building project from 6 - 6:30, and a performance from 6:30(ish) to 7:00(ish). They are encouraged to dress up as a favourite community helper for the evening!
