This morning we edited the missing short vowels in our morning message and practiced printing the "half moon" letters in salt plates. It was fun to play charades with half moon letter sound words! In phys ed we played our most requested game, "Restaurant Wars," since we had the gym to ourselves. We watched some short video songs about short vowels during snack, then wrote in our journals about what we are proud of. We tried out our thinking gum tool to help us focus, and the students did a great job using the tool effectively! In the afternoon the students had music class, then we worked on showing 11 in many ways, working especially on grouping tallies into fives. We learned how to play a memory match ten frame game with pairs that equal ten, then crafted our own ten frame playing cards to use at school.
