We started our day off in the Idea Lab making our Mindfulness Museum artifacts. It was very productive, very messy, and very fun! We are almost done but will finish tomorrow -- if you had hoped for certain materials that were not available today, you can try bringing them from home if possible for tomorrow. After indoor recess (brrr! Please warm up, weather!) we had literacy centers and guided reading, then played a fun partner passing game in phys ed. In the afternoon the students had a lot of birthdays to sing in French! We played Doubles Bump with the boards we made, as well as doubles Walk the Plank, then celebrated a friend's birthday. We finished the day with art, creating symmetrical butterflies that visually represent a doubles math fact. We are exploring water colour pencils for this piece.
