This morning we shared a very famous book about an indoor rainy day adventure, "The Cat in the Hat." In solidarity with the grade sixes, doing a very important writing P.A.T., we did a quiet writing session, too. The grade ones wrote wonderful rainy day adventures of their own! After an indoor recess break, we continued working with inverse relationships (fact families), using number triangles and some fun 'belly button' dice! In the afternoon the students were learning about pitch in music. After literacy centers, we finished our day with a poetry party.

Volunteer Tea
Prince of Wales volunteers are out-of-this-world incredible! We are excited to thank you for all that you do with a breakfast tea, held Friday, May 13th from 8:00 - 9:15 am. We will be offering childcare at this time. Musical Theatre will be performing (close to 8:30), as well as other musical treats.
Please and Thank You / Volunteer Opportunities
We would gratefully welcome 2 more volunteers to join us on a Suburban Community Tour around our school's neighborhood on Monday, June 6.
***The grade one Urban Community Tour will be on Tuesday, June 14. This is a while away, but we are hoping for 8-10 more volunteers to make it as smooth an experience as possible. It is always a highlight for grade one students and parents, so we hope you can join us!
