This morning the students did an awesome job showing 17 in many different ways. We learned how to print the "bounce" family of letters in our gel bags: b, h, m, n, p, and r. All of them start by dropping a 'ball' and letting it bounce. After recess we were very excited to get our own sets of headphones and log onto the laptops for the first time! The students went on to Mme. Pallesen's website to watch some favourite French videos. We played variations of Blob Tag in phys ed, always fun! In the afternoon the students had music, and some more time to work on their Self Maps in their visual journals. We finished our day with Mrs. Lorway, comparing sets of objects and subitizing! Enjoy your weekend!
Mail Pockets
-No new notices today, so mail pockets stayed at school.
Please and Thank You
- Please return all school forms, volunteer forms, and coupon book packages (whether ordering or not) at your earliest convenience.
- If you have spare phonebooks at home, please consider sending them in (ideally, two stacked together and wrapped in duct tape, please and thank you!). We use these as a tool for children's seated posture, as many of the students' feet don't yet reach the ground in grade one.
Library Books
Our class visits the Learning Commons on Wednesday mornings. If your child would like to exchange their current book for a new one, please return by Wednesday.
