This morning we edited our morning message for many missing letters! We practiced printing our 'bounce' letters in salt, and played charades to guess words that started with each of the bounce letters' sounds. After recess the students did such an incredible job of showing nine in many different ways. Remember: Make a loop and then a line, that's the way to make a 9! In phys ed the grade ones really enjoyed their Play Stations, where they got to rotate through 4 quadrants of equipment to use inventively. Fun! In the afternoon the students played 4 corners to review their numbers in French, and explored the update French blog videos. Miss Gilbank's class joined us to learn a new math game, Face-Off, that helps us practice comparing numbers as "greater" or "less." The kids played very cooperatively, and after sharing a story about creative colour, "Sky Colour" by Peter H. Reynolds, they earned a little time outside to finish a great day! Please note, tomorrow is our library book exchange day.

Daily Challenge
In our Face-Off math game, we practiced comparing numbers as "greater" or "less." What is the greatest amount of something (anything!) you can find at home? What is the least? For example, our classroom has the greatest amount of crayons (a whole bin full!), but the least amount of electric pencil sharpeners (just one!).
