This morning we edited our message for wacky vowels. We looked at famous pieces of art that have repeating patterns. Then, we created our own beautiful, colourful repeating pattern art with oil pastels. After recess we had literacy centers, then drumming. We learned more patterns in drumming! In phys ed we translated the patterns we heard in different pieces of music into movement, and played some more Wax Freeze Museum. In the afternoon the students had PoWer Hour. After some math subitizing practice, we finished our day meeting our grade four buddies. They had each chosen their favourite books to share with us, and it was great!

Learning Commons Idea Lab
Our Idea Lab is taking shape and we are so very excited to see progress happening daily. We are so excited to get our kids in there and start building, exploring and designing new and innovative things that help solve real-life problems in a creative way. There is a way you can help! On the Idea Lab website, http://powidealab.weebly.com there is a new page that features “Our Wishlist”. This is a spot where you can see what we are in need of to make our Idea Lab a really cool place to learn. Please contact Mme Bergerman if you have any questions about this process or something you’d like to donate. Thanks so much for all you do for us!
